Specialist in Strategic Management of Physical Corporate Security

The Corporate Real Estate (CRE) organization is responsible for the development and implementation of an integrated real estate strategy (including facility management and asset management) that supports the further development of the Berlin location and the associated ambitious growth targets.

Your tasks

The implementation of appropriate physical security concepts is essential to ensure ASML's business continuity. Within ASML, the Corporate Physical Security department defines the global strategies, policies, projects, requirements and standards.
 
The employees of the CRE Physical Security Operations department are responsible for the correct execution of the guidelines, processes and requirements at our site in Berlin and focus on the personnel and organizational measures that protect employees, equipment and know-how.
 
As a specialist in strategic management of physical corporate security, you will play a key strategic role in protecting our employees, resources and know-how.
 
Strategic tasks
  • You define the strategy for physical security.
  • You support the implementation of the global ASML standards for physical security.
  • You play a key role in the development and execution of physical security.
  • You represent the ASML Berlin Physical Security team in other projects related to physical security.
  • You identify and develop the approach to physical security risk mitigation in a complex and continuously evolving manufacturing and high-tech environment.
  • You are involved in the establishment of business continuity and crisis management.
  • You play a key role in the tender preparation and execution for the physical security protection services, following and implementing the relevant ASML standards.
  • You coordinate the development and implementation of physical security procedures (visitor management, parking rules, badges, security awareness etc.).
 
Management tasks
  • You manage the (growing) outsourced security team.
  • You make suggestions for the employee training and development program.
  • You are the point of contact for the works council on all issues relating to physical security.
  • You work closely with the Data Protection Officer and the Legal Team to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • You report regularly to management and the ASML Global Security Team on physical security topics.
  • You implement and track physical security assessments for ASML Berlin, define KPIs and follow up on them.
  • You collaborate with the relevant subject matter experts on the development of the physical security control room and oversee the execution.
  • You manage the physical security measures at operational/ tactical level.
  • You ensure compliance with security requirements during key visits.
  • You follow up and assess incidents related to physical security.
  • You maintain relationships with law enforcement and other relevant authorities.

Your qualification

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in (physical) security, a master's qualification in protection and security (CCI: Chamber of Commerce and Industry) or a specialist qualification in protection and security (FSS (specialist for protection and security)/ CCI).
  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience in strategic and operational/ tactical physical security in a German company.
  • You have experience in a production, manufacturing or high-tech environment.
  • You have proven experience in coordinating security service providers.
  • You have extensive experience in project and contract management.
  • You are fluent in written and spoken German and English.
